I gained my expertise as an Agricultural Engineer at the School of Agronomy of the University of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.
Along my executive career I got certified in different programs:
> In Uruguay,
Agribusiness Management at ORT/PA University and High Management Program at the University of Montevideo.
> In Brasil, with the Getulio Vargas Foundation,
CEO Program.
> In Argentina, with the IAE,
Managing People and Business Transformation from the Graham School, Chicago University.
I had the opportunity to represent institutions and guilds:
In Uruguay, as Manager of Tafilar and President of the Oleaginous Products Technology Board 2005-2011, representing the institution in South American countries, United States, China and the European Union. President of the
Agronomic Center of Rio Negro 1998-2002,
Executive Committee of DESEM 2011-2014.
In Brazil, as member of the
Fiscal Commission of UNICOTON Mato Grosso and multiple times speaker in different events related to agribusiness in Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. Invited to participate in the faculty of the School of Agronomy and ORT University.
Professional activity, in chronological order:
Independent advisor in different companies in the livestock, dairy, agricultural and services sectors in the Río Negro and Paysandú region in the period from
1993 to 2006 having started as a field technician, advisor and agricultural manager.
During the
2003-2006 period I developed new productive enterprises, as well as the consolidation of technical work teams and new agricultural and services companies. General Manager of Corbela S.A. and several agronomic advices, acquisition of lands and formation of teams among which Adeco Agro S. A, Kamir S.A and Tafilar S.A. are highlighted.
President and General Manager of Tafilar S.A, agribusiness and agricultural-livestock company in Uruguay between
2006 and 2014.
Some figures:
> 160,000 hectares of sown land were covered, equivalent to 12 % of its agricultural production.
> The process of purchase and sale of more than 50,000 hectares was led.
I led the development of the project of processing and trading seeds, irrigation, creation of livestock project and two holding pens, purchase of machines for development of contractors, pioneers in agricultural in non-traditional areas and even commencement of operations in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
